I am still here! haha!

Ok, Ok I know it has been a while...lol..But this gal has been busy and tired all at the same time.
School has started, which means between work, looking after the kids, housework, ball games, hockey and sleep..there is not much time for anything. Especially, this past weekend with the rain from Hurrican Hanna...making my fibro act up - things have been a little hectic but slow. Amazing how things can pile up when you are busy, but also not feeling well.

I am so disappointed that I couldn't make the BBQ with all my new found friends. But I knew if I pushed it Sunday, when my body was saying slow down....I would pay for it for the next week. It really makes me so fustrated when my life has to stop because my body can't keep up. I don't know if everybody understands...you really want to do something and you know you have been committed to it..but you just can't. It is not just friends...it is family too. I can't do everything I use to do. Ughhhh..enough of pity party!!

So what else is new here..been working hard. Steady, but hard. I believe the new med the doc gave me has really helped with the fibro fog. It has allowed me to focus a lot better, because I am not thinking about the pain I am feeling. The first week, I think I was like in a "fairy land"..because everything felt so wonderful. I didn't have the numbness, tingling in my legs. My muscles weren't sore, I felt human again after two years of feeling pain. So...now I can aleast concentrate on my tasks at work, and feel productive again...YAH!

Family...well that has been crazy. Dylan is doing well, but he gave us a little scare. He wasn't eating properly and just didn't seem his usual not stop self. His eyes were even puffy. We have figured it out to be seasonal allergies. He was tested when he was about 2 years old. And they found nothing he was allergic too. But that is all we can think off. Because he is back to his old self now..eating, running non stop and being his goofy self again. Jared is doing great! Back in school..as if in grade 3. You can tell he is enjoying his year. Noon hour sports and gym 4x a week really makes him like school a lot better. He seems to do be doing well in english, which I am glad. He is par with the other kids, reading english at the right level. His spelling is a little off on some words...appel instead of apple. But, eh...not bad considering he had 2 years of french. He is busy with sports.. He still has baseball, but that will be done this week. He also is putting on his goalie gear, for the Charlie Burgeois Fall hockey school. Like my hubby said...after having 200-400 pucks shot on you...he will either love being goalie or quit..so far he still loves it. But it makes some of our evenings busy!!!!

After school, we are busy too..I have agreed to help a friend out and babysit her son, same age as Jared. I have also agreed to help out another friend with her two children 8 and 11, a couple days a week. So yes, afterschool is a little nuts at our place. But it is ok. Still trying to get everyone into a routine of doing homework - and not eat me out of house and home :). I know it sounds a little nuts...but ...the way I figure it ..is this way...We all know how our kids are raised, we all trust each other on how to discipline, but we also all agree on how we want our kids to be raised. They all get along, and most of the time, if my friends were home, not working, our kids would be together anyway outside playing or at each others house. I also figure, if I ever need a favour...they would be there for me too. With Bob, working grave yard, who knows when I might need someone to look after one of them, and run to the hospital etc. But it is true..the more you have the less work. It is great...send them all outside...and they all play. Even Dylan..which is great to help him get use to school for next year.

What else is new...oh yes....I got a treadmill yesterday. So quess what...I am going to start using it..haha!!! After two years of being in so much pain- even the thought of climbing on a treadmill made me groan...I am going to try it!!! Slowly at first of course. My doc said I need to excercise more - and I strongly believe in that. Because, when I was in constant pain...even the stretch of a muscle hurting was better than the constant numbing pain. So...lets see if I can loose some weight. Here's to hoping!!!!! At first I just want to get my muscles in my legs strong again. They are really weak ..so little babysteps at a time..but hopefully!!!

Cross stitching - haven't been able to do a lot...but I allow myself about 1/2 hour each night to do some. After dinner, when things are a little quiet, before the bedtime routine with the kids. I have started my snowman picture again. I would love to have it done before xmas so I can put it up with all my xmas decorations..but I am not going to put to much pressure on myself..hehe..!!

Okay enough for now...just felt bad that I haven't posted anything in a while..just been kinda nuts around here...lol..hoping everyone is doing well!!!!

Well all is calm on my front. Mowed and raked the lawn yesterday...little tired today. But living through it. Tonight we have Jared's baseball game- which should be fun - finally a Tuesday without any rain. I really should bring my camera. Didn't get much stichy time yesterday. Maybe today after work. But it is heading down to the home stretch of getting Jared ready for school..maybe not. Here's to hoping!!!!
